KVEA Telemundo 52 is moving weather anchor Michelle Trujillo from weekday mornings to its primetime newscasts.
Starting today, Trujillo will do the weather segments for the station’s 5, 5:30, 6 and 11 pm shows.
She replaces Yara Lasanta, who left the position in January to join rival KMEX Univision 34 as chief metereologist.
Trujillo joined KVEA in 2014 as morning anchor.
She previously worked as a reporter and weather anchor at Univision Palm Springs.
Trujillo is currently studying and is expected to receive a degree in meteorology from Mississippi State University this summer.
