Telemundo has hired Claudia Franklin as VP of entertainment publicity. She takes over the position effective immediately.
She’ll be based in Miami and report to Alfredo Richard, SVP of corporate communications, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.
As the head of entertainment publicity, Franklin will be responsible for all consumer-focused publicity efforts to promote Telemundo’s entertainment content and talent across earned media platforms and social influencers. She’ll also work closely with Telemundo Global Studios and the network’s programming, talent, research and marketing teams to support and elevate the company’s brand.
Franklin was most recently SVP of communications and public affairs for Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Americas, where she led the corporate communications and brand publicity throughout Latin America for Viacom’s portfolio of brands including MTV, Nickelodeon, and Comedy Central.
Prior to VIMN, she was director of marketing and communications, overseeing all communications and consumer marketing activities for Discovery Kids in Latin America.
