EstrellaTV is launching local newscasts in the Houston, Dallas and Miami markets.
The newscasts, produced out of Dallas for all the markets, kick off Monday, April 29.
News director Rubén Olague will lead the effort and co-anchor all the newscasts.
Carolina Sulbarán will co-anchor Miami’s Noticias 8 at 5 and 11 pm newscasts and Houston’s Noticias 61 at 4 and 10 pm.
Carolina Pereira will co-anchor Dallas’ Noticias 29 at 4 and 10 pm newscasts.
Olague is broadcast news veteran with over 30 years experience. He has worked for CNN, CBS, Televisa and Univision.
Sulbarán began her broadcasting career in radio in 2004 in her native Venezuela as the host of a national news and entertainment magazine show for Planeta 105.3 FM Radio. She later transitioned to television as a reporter for Canal de Noticias and anchor of a daily morning news show. She has also worked for Globovision and Venevision.
Pereira is also from Venezuela, where she started her broadcasting career in 2001 at Venezuela’s Globovision, working her way up from assignment desk editor, producer and field reporter, to news anchor.
