Telemundo picks Argüello to lead KDEN

Tatiana Arguello

Tatiana Argüello will be KDEN’s new president and general manager. She’ll replace Andrés Chaparro, who exited the company in January.

She’ll report to Manuel Martínez, president of the Telemundo Station Group, who has been overseeing the station’s operations since Chaparro’s departure.

Argüello will be responsible for leading all station operations including news, digital, sales, marketing, and operations.

Her first day at KDEN is May 6.

A Colorado native, she returns to Telemundo Denver after launching her career in broadcasting at KDEN as an intern 18 years ago.

Argüello leaves her role as NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations’ director of local and regional sales. She was previously national sales director since 2014, managing all northeast national sales operations for the Telemundo owned and affiliate stations.

She was previously national sales manager for Telemundo 47 from 2008 to 2014. Argüello moved to New York after working her way up the ranks at KDEN from 2001 to 2008.

Argüello is a member of the development program called “She Leads,” launched by the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations division in 2018 for high potential NBC/Telemundo owned station female sales leaders to provide them with the mentoring, tools and exposure they need to acquire leadership roles within the owned stations division and NBCUniversal.
