José Andino has started a new job at CBS News as SVP of Human Resources.
In this newly created position, Andino will focus on overall human resources strategy, employee relations, cultural and leadership development, among other duties in the department.
He’ll report to CBS’s Chief People Officer Laurie Rosenfield, CBS News president Susan Zirinsky and will also work with Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews, EVP Strategic Professional Development.
For the past four years, Andino was VP of Human Resources at Mediapro US, based out of the production company’s Miami offices. He previously worked in Los Angeles at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Before that, he spent 12 years at NBCUniversal in Los Angeles and Miami. During his tenure at the company he held several roles, including VP Human Resources for NBC Universal Entertainment and VP Human Resources for Telemundo Media.
Earlier in his career he was an HR director at CNN in Atlanta, where he was on the team that launched CNN en Español.
