Three months after the Venezuelan government seized all video footage and detained Jorge Ramos and his news crew following a contentious interview with Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro, Univision has been able to recover a copy of the heated exchange.
Univision announced today it will air excerpts during its network newscasts, before showing it in its entirety as a way to defy “the regime’s extreme censorship.”
The interview lasted 17 minutes before Maduro walked out after accusing Ramos of provoking him.
“Aquí y Ahora” will broadcast the complete interview, which will later be available on all Univision News digital and social media platforms.
More details about how Univision recovered the video and its broadcast plans are available on Forbes.
