Former NBCUniversal/Telemundo exec Elizabeth Asencio has joined Univision as SVP and Head of Distribution Marketing, based in New York.
Asencio was most recently Head of Content Acquisition for Atlantic Broadband, where she led the programming and video operations team and negotiated multiplatform distribution deals.
She was previously a new business development consultant for lotus823, an integrated marketing and communications agency.
Asencio spent 18 years at NBCUniversal – from 1997 to 2015 – where she held various senior roles, exiting as SVP of Client Relations and Marketing Operations. In that role, she spearheaded strategic sales and marketing partnerships for Telemundo, NBC Universo, NBC and Telemundo Owned and Operated Stations, Bravo, CNBC, E! MSNBC and other company networks.
Prior to NBCUniversal, she worked as a district manager for Starz Entertainment.
