The Telemundo Station Group has promoted Noe González to news director.
He’ll be leading the news team at KULX Telemundo Utah, one of the stations recently acquired from Serestar Communications.
He’ll relocate to Salt Lake City and report directly to José Suarez, who is president and GM of Telemundo’s Utah, Sacramento and Fresno stations.
His first day at KULX will be July 8.
González is leaving Telemundo Phoenix, where he worked his way up the ranks over the past 14 years until he was promoted to assistant news director in 2017.
Since he joined KTAZ in 2005, he held a variety of jobs, including photographer, reporter and line producer, before moving into management.
No exact date has been set yet for his departure from Phoenix.
