Valeria Barriga has joined KWEX Univision San Antonio as weather anchor for “Primera Hora” from 5 to 7 am and “Edición Digital” at 11:30 am.
She jumped ship from rival KVDA Telemundo, where she had been working as a weather anchor and reporter since 2017.
Barriga’s first day at KWEX was July 1.
Prior to her move to Texas, she worked at former ZGS station WZDC Telemundo Washington, D.C. as a weather anchor and entertainment reporter for three years.
Before that, she did a brief stint as weather anchor at WFDC, Entravision’s Univision affiliate in the nation’s capital.
