Entravision Communications has promoted Eddie Meléndez to President of Local Media Sales as part of a “realignment” of its local sales structure.
Meléndez will oversee all of Entravision’s local sales, with the company’s top tier market stations reporting directly to him, including Los Angeles, San Diego, El Paso, Las Vegas, Sacramento, Phoenix, McAllen, Orlando, Tampa and Denver.
Responsible for TV, radio and digital sales operations for eight California markets as EVP of the company’s West Region since 2014, Meléndez first joined Entravision in 2002 as VP of Business Development.
Other organizational changes in Entravision’s sales division include the appointment of Juan Navarro to the new position of Regional Vice President of Local Media Sales. He will oversee sales for the company’s second tier markets, including Albuquerque, Reno, Monterey, Midland, Hartford, Boston, Washington DC, Santa Barbara, Laredo, Corpus Christi, Lubbock, and Palm Springs.
Navarro rejoins Entravision from LBI Media, where he was VP and General Sales Manager for the past year. He previously worked at Entravision as Interactive Sales Manager and VP of Integrated Marketing Solutions from 2010 to 2018.
Laura Hernández, who has been with the company for over a decade, was promoted to SVP of Sales for Midland-Odessa.
The company also hired Chris Jordan as SVP of Sales in Las Vegas. He most recently worked as VP and General Manager at the Azteca América station in Las Vegas.
