Stephanie Ramos has been promoted to ABC News correspondent, based in New York City.
The Good Morning America team welcomed her on the air today.
This morning’s GMA featured reports from Ramos, Cecilia Vega and Gio Benitez.
Ramos was most recently an ABC News Washington bureau reporter. She joined the network in 2015 as a multi-platform reporter.
The new gig marks a return home for the native New Yorker.
Before her move to ABC, she was an anchor and reporter for KMBC in Kansas City from 2012 to 2015.
Ramos is a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve and served in Iraq. She was awarded multiple medals for her service.
