Palmira Pérez has left her anchor job at Univision KDTV 14.
She resigned earlier this year to deal with family-related issues, but said her final farewell on air last week.
Pérez had been commuting back and forth between San Jose and Los Angeles, where her husband resides.
She anchored her final newscast at 11 pm on Thursday, September 19.
Pérez joined the Univision Bay Area station in October 2017, replacing longtime anchor María Leticia Gómez.
She previously spent 17 years as an anchor at KWHY Channel 22 Los Angeles.
According to a source, the station is bringing in a new anchor from outside the U.S. A company spokesperson did not confirm the new hire.
