Zoltan Csanyi has landed a new job as news director at ABC affiliate KRGV.
He starts the new position today.
Csanyi left his role as news director at KYTX, TEGNA’s CBS affiliate in Tyler, TX after just nine months to join KRGV.
In addition to overseeing the ABC-affiliated newscast, Csanyi will also be in charge of the station’s Spanish-language independent sub digital channel “Somos El Valle.”
The move marks his return to the Rio Grande Valley, where he spent four years leading the KGBT news department for the Sinclair-owned CBS and Azteca América affiliates.
Prior to KGBT, worked for ESPN in Bristol.
He previously held news director roles at Univision affiliate KINT-26, NBC affiliate KTSM in El Paso and KXTX Telemundo Dallas.
