Teresa Frontado is moving to Texas to take on the newly created role of executive editor at Austin’s NPR Station KUT 90.5 FM.
She’ll be leaving Miami’s public radio station WLRN, where she is currently digital director since May 2016.
Frontado starts the new position in January, in which she’ll focus on strengthening KUT’s newsroom’s audience with an emphasis on engagement, digital innovation, diversity and accountability reporting.
She’ll be overseeing the KUT News local team, the daily newsmagazine Texas Standard, the multimedia visuals team and the digital news desk.
Prior to working for NPR affiliates, Frontado was Director of Social Media for News at Univision and held multiple senior editor roles at El Nuevo Herald and The Miami Herald.
