Meteorologist Erika Lopez is back at KVUE. She rejoined the station as chief meteorologist.
She’s covering weather for KVUE’s 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts.
She replaces Albert Ramon, who left the station at the end of May to become chief meteorologist for WGN’s new national primetime newscast “News Nation,” which debuts September 1.
Lopez spent the last year at KHOU 11 in Houston, forecasting for the noon and 4 p.m. newscasts.
She previously worked as KVUE’s Daybreak meteorologist from 2017 to 2019.
A Phoenix native, she started her career in Victoria, Texas in 2014, before moving to Denver, where she worked for 24-hour network Weather Nation TV in 2015.
