Migdalia Figueroa is the new president and general manager of WTMO Telemundo 31 in Orlando.
In making the move, she leaves WTVJ, the NBC O&O in Miami, where she has been VP of News for the past eight years.
The Telemundo Station Group announced her new position today, effective immediately.
Figueroa will be responsible for leading all station operations including news/digital, sales, marketing/promotions, human resources, community affairs, and technology/operations.
She replaces Luis Roldán, who exited the company at the end of June.
Figueroa joined NBCUniversal in 2005 and has held numerous roles with increasing responsibility at the Telemundo Station Group and at NBC/Telemundo owned stations.
Before running the NBC6 newsroom, Figueroa was SVP of Content and Branding for the Telemundo Station Group for two years. She was VP of News at WSCV Telemundo 51 from 2005 to 2010.
Veremos.
