NBCU News Group has tapped Emma Carrasco to take over as the company’s SVP of Corporate Affairs.
According to an internal memo NBC News Group chairman Cesar Conde wrote to staffers, it is a new role.
She leaves D.C., where she has worked for the past 8 years. She’ll now be based in New York.
Carrasco arrives to NBC from National Geographic, where she was Chief Marketing and Communications Officer and SVP of Global Strategy since 2016.
She previously spent four years at NPR as CMO and SVP for Audience Development.
Before that, Carrasco was EVP at Miami-based public relations agency República.
