KSAT has promoted anchor Stephanie Serna from weekends to weekday mornings. She took over as Good Morning San Antonio’s new anchor, replacing Leslie Mouton, who left the show in June after 21 years.
A San Antonio native, Serna has been with KSAT for over a decade. She joined the station in 2009 as a general assignment reporter after working three years as a reporter in Austin at KXAN-TV and KEYE-TV.
She began her career as a production assistant and editor at FOX 29 in San Antonio, before landing her first reporting job in Waco.
Serna’s departure from the weekend anchor desk opened up a spot.
The station bumped reporter Sarah Acosta up to weekend anchor. She’ll be hosting Good Morning San Antonio’s weekend edition and continue to report on weekdays.
Acosta joined the KSAT12 News team in April 2018 as a morning reporter for Good Morning San Antonio.
She previously spent two years as a breaking news and morning reporter for FOX40 in Sacramento. Before that, she was a morning reporter for KIII-3News from 2013 to 2016. She got her start as a reporter in her hometown newspaper, the Corpus Christi Caller Times.
