Telemundo is launching Radar2020, a new digital English-language news commentary show.
Gabriela Fresquez, brought on board to work on the show, is the host.
According to Telemundo, Radar2020 will “take a conversational and irreverent tone ” as it looks “at current events and break them down through various perspectives in the Latinx community.”
Grace González, who previously worked at Telemundo’s investigative unit, is the show’s executive producer.
Radar2020 kicks off Wednesday, October 7 at 5 pm ET on YouTube, where new, half-hour episodes will drop weekly.
Telemundo’s idea behind the format is to provide Latino millennials Latinx with information leading up to this year’s election, but the show will live beyond Election Day.
And… if you’re wondering about the date tied to the title, a company spokesperson says there will be a Radar2021 next year.
