Miguelángel López is moving to Orlando, where he will take over as VP of News at WTMO Telemundo 31.
He steps into the role left vacant by Roberto Vizcón, during a management shake-up at the station in June 2020.
López is scheduled to start at Telemundo 31 on January 25.
He arrives from KTLM in the Rio Grande Valley where he worked since 2014 as executive producer. That same year, he was promoted to news director. He’s currently VP of News, a position he’s held since 2018.
While at KTLM, López oversaw the launch of the station’s consumer investigative unit. He previously worked as a producer for Telemundo network at its Miami headquarters.
