José Díaz-Balart is returning to MSNBC to once again host his own morning show on the cable news network.
“José Díaz-Balart Reports” will air weekdays at 10 a.m. ET., starting September 27.
He’ll continue to be based in Miami.
Due to his new role, he’ll step down as anchor “Noticias Telemundo” at the end of the month. He has led Telemundo network’s nightly newscast since 2009. But he will still have a very busy schedule.
Díaz-Balart will continue to anchor “NBC Nightly News Saturday,” which he took over in 2016. He’ll also anchor Noticias Telemundo monthly specials and breaking news events and special coverage across multiple platforms, including Peacock.
He’ll be the only anchor to host national news programs on both cable and broadcast television in English and Spanish.
He previously anchored “The Daily Rundown With José Díaz Balart,” which aired weekday mornings on MSNBC from 2014 to 2016.
