A series of changes have starting taking place across local Univision stations, following completion of the content merger with Televisa.
According to sources, Univision 23 in Miami has shut down its investigative unit, leading to job cuts.
Investigative reporter Erika Carrillo was among those who were let go last week, along with anchor and investigative reporter Ivan Taylor and managing editor Carlos Espinosa. Their departures were confirmed by a company spokesperson.
Carrillo had been at Univision 23 since 2015 and Taylor joined Univision 23 in 2016.
Espinoza, who was promoted to managing editor in 2014, had been at the Miami station for over 25 years.
