Todd Mokhtari has been named president and general manager of Los Angeles stations KVEA Telemundo 52 and NBC 4.
He will oversee operations for the two stations across the news, digital, sales, marketing/promotions, community affairs and operations/technology departments.
Mokhtari replaces both KVEA’s Celia Chávez and KNBC’s Steve Carlston, following the company’s announcement of their exit in early April.
Mokhtari returns to L.A. after leading NBCUniversal’s Telemundo/NBC San Diego stations.
He previously worked as VP of News for KNBC and assistant news director at KNTV in San Jose.
Mokhtari has also held roles news director roles at KIRO-TV and KCPQ-TV in Seattle.
