KMEX Univision Los Angeles is bringing in a Televisa journalist for its late night newscast.
The station announced today Octavio Valdez will be Noticias 34’s 11 pm anchor starting Monday, June 6.
He will join Andrea González, who had been anchoring solo since León Krauze’s departure.
Last month, the station promoted Oswaldo Borraez to 6 pm co-anchor.
Valdez has been an anchor for Televisa’s 24/7 news channel Foro TV in Mexico City since 2017. Before that, he held a variety of sales, advertising and business development positions in Mexico.
Valdez got his start as a reporter and anchor in his native Michoacán, working for a local channel and then Televisa. His past experience includes a position as artistic director. He has also been a contributor to MVS Radio and Forbes LATAM.
