Joshua Hoyos has been promoted to New York bureau chief at ABC News.
In his new role, he will manage ABC News teams based in the east coast, except those based in Washington, D.C.
In a message to staff, VP of Newsgathering Michael Kreisel said Hoyos will drive day-to-day coverage, leading correspondents, reporters and producers through breaking news.
He’ll also collaborate with editorial partners across ABC News’ programs and platforms to help decide stories to cover and who will be assigned to them.
Hoyos started as an intern in 2012 and spent his entire journalism career at ABC News, working his way up the ranks.
He was most recently network news assignment manager.
