Freddy Serrano has joined Univision Philadelphia as executive producer and anchor.
He started the new job this week.
Serrano will oversee editorial content for the 6 and 11 pm newscasts, coordinate assignments with reporters and anchors the 11 pm weeknight newscast.
He arrives from Univision D.C., where he was a news producer for the station’s 6 and 11 pm shows.
He previously spent seven years in communications management roles in Latin America.
Before that, Serrano was news director and anchor for TV Azteca in Costa Rica from 2011 to 2014.
His past experience includes positions as anchor at NTN24 in Colombia, news director and anchor at Entravision’s Univision Laredo, executive producer and anchor at Televisora de Costa Rica and CNNE correspondent in Central America .
