Manuel Aguilera has been named VP and managing editor of conservative news start-up Americano Media.
In his new role, he’s in charge of planning and supervising editorial content strategy for radio, TV and digital.
He joined the company in October 2022 as digital managing editor, in charge of content strategy for AmericanoMedia.com.
Previously, he was VP of content and executive producer of documentaries for Guatemala’s republica.gt.
Aguilera was founder and CEO of the HispanoPost Media Group, a Spanish-language online editorial and video content platform.
His past experience includes positions as executive editor of Diario las Américas, director of news programming for Univision Interactive Media and executive editor of El Mundo’s Americas online edition.

You seem to make a mock about this like if doing conservative news, was some sort of a pest. But, if you still think that Fox News is a “derecha” news outlet, you frankly have not been paying attention to the business.

Interesting how there’s a “Conservative news” ID, which typically is a media more balanced and more news per se (and usually make clear distinction among their conservative opinion shows over newscasts). And then there’s no “Liberal news” id, when that’s what all the other so called mainstream media, but in reality socialist news outlets, deliver at all levels.
At the same time, even more interesting is how media Latinos here seem to condemn having other sources of information and different opinions, and only seem to want and praise the “elitist, leftist” (and mostly plainly biased and wrong) agenda and Democrat talking point promoters. Sad. That’s what they have in Venezuela, Cuba and some other LatinAmerican countries. America and journalism here was more than that many years ago. Sorry. No intend to offend anyone, just hoping some may ponder on this reality for the better.
Spain is a socialist country, France is a socialist country, The UK is a socialist country… but when a poor country wants to be socialist like them that’s the end of the world. they have the bbc, dw, afp, tve and you don’t question them.
By the way, Latinxs have more options now that 5 yrs ago and now we can go directly to the source. we don’t need US “Latino” media to feed and digest for us the news.
