Telemundo Station Group President Manuel Martínez has retired, following a 38-year career in the broadcast industry.
With his departure from the company this month, managers under his purview will now report to Valari Staab, Chairman of NBCU Local.
Martínez worked his way up the ranks, building his management career with the company.
He was named president of the Telemundo Station Group in 2013.
Martínez previously held roles as president and GM of WTVJ/NBC6 and WSCV/Telemundo 51 in Miami, and VP and GM Telemundo 47 in New York.
Before that, he was EVP of Programming and Production for the Telemundo Network.
