Canela Media has appointed Chechu Lasheras chief strategy officer, tasked with leading the company’s corporate strategy and identifying new growth opportunities.
Lasheras will also be responsible for promoting a culture of innovation within the organization, monitoring emerging technologies, industry trends, and consumer behaviors to identify disruptive opportunities and develop innovation strategies.
Lasheras, who was most recently executive director at Miami Dade College, had previously served as an advisor to Canela Media.
His past experience includes positions as chief digital revenue officer at global media conglomerate Grupo Prisa, where he helped develop innovative monetization strategies, leading business development initiatives such as the creation of Prisa Content Studio and Prisa Programmatic and Data Hub, as well as driving revenue growth through new acquisitions and international expansion.
Lasheras also worked as chief digital officer at global advertising and marketing communications company Omnicom Media Group and as the President of IAB or the Interactive Advertising Bureau in Spain.
