Camilla DeChalus has made her way back to CNN. This time, she joined the cable news network as its new White House reporter, based in Washington, D.C.
She previously worked for CNN as a news associate after graduating from college in 2016. On her social media, she calls the move a “full circle moment and an incredible honor.”
DeChalus was most recently a congressional reporter at The Washington Post, where she covered Capitol Hill, the 2022 midterm elections, the Supreme Court’s handling of student loan debt, among other key issues facing the country.
Befofe that, she worked as a senior political reporter at Business Insider, covering Congress, political campaigns, and legal affairs since 2021.
DeChalus was part of an Insider team that produced the investigative series “Conflicted Congress” that exposed possible conflicts of interest around congress members’ investments and stock trades, leading to lawmakers introducing legislation banning individual stock trading.
