Albert Rodríguez has resigned as Spanish Broadcasting System’s President and COO.
He made the announcement today, at the tail end of SBS’s 2023 Q3 earnings call.
Rodríguez did not give a reason for his departure, but shared during the call that the the decision came “after much reflection and consideration.”
Although he is stepping down from his role, he said will stay on as a senior advisor, supporting “the company’s vision providing guidance and strategic insights to ensure seamless transition.”
Rodríguez joined SBS in 1999. Over the course of the past 24 years, he held various roles with increasing importance, including general sales manager for SBS Radio, general manager of Miami television station Mega TV, SBS’s chief revenue officer, and chief operating officer, prior to earning the title of president.
Before SBS, he worked at the Miami Herald, El Nuevo Herald, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Chicago Tribune and Éxito.
