News director Marialcy Carreño is no longer at Telemundo Las Vegas.
Carreño had been at the helm of the station’s newsroom since 2018.
In the interim, executive producer Johali Carmona is leading the newsroom.
The news director position was posted on the NBCUniversal careers and other job websites on Jan. 29.
Prior to Las Vegas, Carreño spent a year as assistant news director at KXTX Telemundo Dallas.
She previously worked as executive producer at Telemundo’s KSTS 48 San Jose from 2014 to 2017. Before that, she was a news producer at Univision Fresno.
Before making the move to U.S. Spanish-language stations, Carreño worked as a general producer for RCTV International in her native Venezuela.
