Michael Roa has joined Gray TV’s Atlanta-based Telemundo Broadcast Operations as an anchor and producer.
He’ll be anchoring daily segment Top 5, covering the most important news of the day, distributed across Gray TV’s Telemundo affiliates.
Roa will also anchor and help produce daily newscasts for affiliates Telemundo Tennessee and Noticias Telemundo Alabama.
Prior to starting his current job, he was assignment planning editor at CGTN America in Washington D.C., where he coordinated daily coverage and assignments for the network’s U.S. and Latin America correspondents.
He previously spent 17 years at CNN en Español in Atlanta, working as an anchor and producer and correspondent, exiting the cable network in August 2023.
During his time at the CNN, he also reported on the the migration crisis at the southern border and political issues in Washington and Miami for CNNE and CNN domestic in English. He also worked as an anchor and producer for CNN Radio.
