The Telemundo Station Group is making some newsroom leadership adjustments.
Rossyris Silva, VP of News at KSTS Telemundo 48 in San Jose since 2017, will take her current title and move over to KXTX Telemundo Dallas.
She starts in Dallas on March 4, stepping into a Telemundo news management position that was eliminated when Freddy Oldenburg left the station in 2020. Since then, NBC5 News VP John Stone has also been overseeing the Telemundo Dallas newsroom.
With Silva’s departure, Sandra Pérez was promoted from assistant news director to news director at Telemundo 48, taking charge of the station’s newsroom.
Pérez has been at the Bay Area station for the past 10 years, working her way up from morning content producer to leadership roles. Prior to being named assistant news director, she was the newsroom’s managing editor.
Before arriving at Telemundo 48, Pérez was a news producer at Univision Fresno/KFTV.
