José Alberto Suárez is leaving California to assume leadership of three Telemundo-owned Florida stations.
Currently president and general manager of Telemundo Station Group’s Sacramento, Fresno and Las Vegas stations, Suárez will hold on to the same title as he moves back to his home state.
He takes over as president and general manager of WTMO Telemundo 31 Orlando, WRMD Telemundo 49 Tampa and WWDT Telemundo Fort Myers-Naples from Migdalia Figueroa, who was named president and general manager of WKAQ Telemundo Puerto Rico in January.
Based in Orlando, Suárez will lead local leadership teams across the three stations in news, sales, digital media.
Prior to leading the California and Nevada stations, he spent three years as president and GM of Telemundo-owned stations in Salt Lake City and San Antonio.
Before taking the helm of Telemundo stations in different parts of the country, Suárez worked in creative services, programming and digital media roles for NBC 6 and Telemundo 51 Miami.
