Jamie Novogrod has been named assistant news director for L.A. duopoly NBC4 and Telemundo 52.
He’ll report to Marina Perelman, VP of News for NBC4, and Mike Gaytán, VP of News for Telemundo 52.
Novogrod starts his new role Monday, March 11.
He’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day news coverage, investigative, weather and breaking news for both stations’ platforms.
Novogrod was most recently part of LA Times Studios, where he oversaw video production, including live in-person and virtual events, co-productions with emerging filmmakers and a daily news magazine show on Spectrum News 1 SoCal.
He was previously LA Bureau Chief for “VICE News Tonight on HBO,” where he supervised correspondents, producers and post-production staff and was responsible for news coverage spanning the western United States, Mexico, and South America.
This marks Novogrod’s return to NBCUniversal, where he spent over a decade in various roles, including as a producer for NBC chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel, NBC Nightly News Weekend Edition, and MSNBC.
