Anne Vasquez starts a new job as executive director of The Television Academy Foundation, the charitable arm of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
In her new role, she will oversee daily operations and strategic program leadership and fundraising to advance the Foundation’s mission of cultivating future television leaders.
A veteran media and nonprofit executive, Vasquez was most recently CEO of EdSource. She led the award-winning California nonprofit news organization focused on education since 2021, previously in charge of its content and strategic initiatives.

Before EdSource, she was SVP of strategic initiatives and chief digital officer at Tribune Publishing, guiding digital strategy across 10 news markets.
Vasquez has also held jobs as managing editor of the Sun Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale, editor of the San Jose Mercury’s News race and demographic team and reporter at the Miami Herald.
