Maria Estrada has been promoted to managing editor at KASA-TV Telemundo Nuevo México.
Estrada joined the Albuquerque station in August 2022 as a news producer.
She will now oversee day-to-day editorial content for Telemundo Nuevo México and its live local newscasts weekdays at 5 and 10 p.m.
Estrada, who has more than 20 years of experience in broadcast journalism, began her career at Telemundo Lubbock as an assistant news producer, moving up the ranks to executive news producer and assistant news director at Ramar Communications, which owned the Telemundo affiliate until its sale to Gray Television in 2020.
