Patricio Espinoza Joins ABC15 Phoenix as MMJ

Patricio Espinoza, who had been freelancing as a special assignment multimedia Journalist at KNXV ABC 15, has been signed on as a full-time MMJ.

Before joining ABC15 in Phoenix, Espinoza worked as an MMJ for the Associated Press and also served as an adjunct professor at ASU’s Cronkite School of Journalism, where he continues to teach multimedia journalism.

Throughout his four-decade career, the Emmy-award-winning journalist has held various roles for numerous news organizations in both Spanish and English across the country, including ABC News, CNN, PBS, NBC News, NBC-Spanish, 20/20, A&E, Discovery, Univision, and Telemundo.

Espinoza’s past experience encompasses positions such as reporter, anchor, network producer, assignment editor, and news director. He has also been involved in journalism training for the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ). He recently spent a year as the Atwood Chair of Journalism at the University of Alaska Anchorage from 2021 to 2022.
