Meredith Veloz is moving up the Telemundo Station Group ranks in a new market. She’ll be joining Telemundo 49 Tampa as news director in early October.
She replaces Rafael Pérez-Narvaez, who passed away earlier this year.
Veloz will lead the news teams at the Telemundo Tampa and Fort Myers-Naples stations.
Most recently an executive producer for NBCU Philadelphia duopoly NBC 10 and Telemundo 62, Veloz oversaw editorial content for both stations for more than three years.
She was previously held executive producer positions at Telemundo stations in Chicago (2017-2021) and Boston, where she helped launch Noticiero Telemundo Boston in 2015.
Veloz has also worked as a producer for Univision in Miami.
