This week, layoffs continued at Univision, affecting both on-air and behind-the-camera talent across Despierta América, Univision News, and the streaming service ViX.
Among the most high-profile exits is longtime correspondent Ricardo Arambarri, who dedicated four decades to Univision. He began his career at WLTV 41 in New York before relocating to Miami in 1995 to become a network correspondent.
During his tenure with the news magazine Primer Impacto, Arambarri received a national Emmy for investigative journalism, along with five regional Emmys.
The departures included not only Univision veterans but also some relative newcomers who had worked with the company for about a decade.
Inside sources revealed that Aylen del Toro, Carolina Rosario, and Eduardo Padilla, anchors for ViX’s 24/7 news streamer, were among those laid off. Their images were removed from the Noticias Vix promo image at some point between Wednesday afternoon and today.
More layoffs are expected in the coming weeks.
Carlos says
Say goodbye to Univision. Next year it will be called Televisa. All the programming will come from Mexico and all U.S.-produced television shows will be axed. Televisa finally won.

I think the story now should be…who is left?
Simon Ehrlich says
I think trump should tax programs coming from Mexico like he will tax other products coming from there.
