William Vélez has returned to Telemundo Network as an entertainment producer for daily shows.
He started his new job today, January 6, working on weekday morning program Hoy Día.
This marks his return to the network and the morning show space. He previously worked on Telemundo network’s Levántate and the revamped Un Nuevo Día morning show, out of the company’s Miami headquarters from 2008 to 2013.
Vélez most recently spent six years as executive news producer at Telemundo 49 Tampa and Telemundo Ft. Myers-Naples, acting as interim news director when Raiza Iciarte left for a job at Telemundo 52 in Los Ángeles and following the death of Rafael Pérez-Narvaéz in 2024.
Before that, he was a news producer for Telemundo 62 in Philadelphia.
His past experience includes roles as senior producer at Telemundo News Service, executive producer for ¡Hola! TV in Miami.
Vélez began his career as a producer for Objetivo Fama, a reality competition show for Univisión Puerto Rico (now TeleOnce), in his native Puerto Rico.
