Janelle Rodriguez has been promoted to Director of Programming for CNN/U.S. She leaves her role as “Campbell Brown” EP. She will be based out of Atlanta. CNN president Jon Klein made the announcement today. Janelle will now oversee all of CNN’s Atlanta-based news programming.
Janelle has been at CNN for more than 10 years. Before taking over as EP of Campbell Brown’s show last May, she was named EP of “American Morning” a year earlier. Before that, she was a Sr producer on “The Situation Room.” She also previously worked 2 years as Sr. producer on “Anderson Cooper 360.” She began her run at CNN as a producer at Headline News.
