Celina Avila is starting her new job at KESQ, the ABC affiliate in Palm Springs next Tuesday, January 3. She’ll be anchoring the morning and noon newscasts.
Celina was most recently an anchor/reporter at KVIA ABC-7 in El Paso, where she spent 8 years. She was previously an anchor/reporter at KTSM, the NBC affiliate in El Paso.
She is replacing Emilie Voss, the morning/noon anchor of at least 3 years. Voss, obviously, does not speak Spanish. It’s a recent trend at KESQ. Two reporters for the price of one.
