MundoFox will be announcing its first affiliate agreements next Monday, March 5th. Network reps refuse to disclose any details prior to that date.
However, inside sources tell me KWHY-22 in Los Angeles, the #1 Spanish-language media market, will become the flagship station for MundoFox.
A KWHY affiliate makes sense. It’s an independent station with name recognition and an established audience in Los Angeles.
NBCUniversal sold the station last year as part of FCC conditions to merge with Comcast.
