Univision Deportes Network kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, April 7 on DishLATINO and DISH’s America’s Top 200 at 3 p.m. ET.
The new sports network’s main anchor show will be “Univision Deportes Extra,” a nightly sportscast produced from the network’s Miami studios. The hour-long show will be hosted by former Televisa sports newscaster Alejandro Berry, former KUVN sports anchor Antonietta Collins, Claudia Trejos, and sports anchor Jorge Calvo.
Univision Deportes debuts with an exclusive live Major League Soccer match, followed by the network premiere of “Fútbol Central,” a new show hosted by sportscaster Fernando Fiore featuring the top highlights from the day in soccer
Univision Network’s “República Deportiva” will also air on the new sports network.
Here’s Univision Deportes Network’s launch day schedule:
3 p.m. – 5 p.m. ET Major League Soccer: Columbus Crew vs. New York Red Bulls
5 p.m. – 7 p.m. ET Solo Boxeo Tecate: Special Edition
7 p.m. – 8 p.m. ET “Fútbol Central”
8 p.m. – 10 p.m. ET Liga Mexicana: Santos vs. Estudiantes Tecos
1 p.m. – 12 a.m. ET Liga Mexicana: Monterrey vs. Tigres de la UANL
12 a.m. – 1 a.m. ET “Univision Deportes Extra”
Univision Deportes Network will be offering access to Liga Mexicana soccer games, featuring playoff matches each season. The network has rights to the home games for 12 of the 18 teams within the Liga Mexicana, plus away games for the rest of the league’s teams.
The new sports network will air the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the qualifiers starting this June, as well as matches of the U.S. and Mexican national soccer teams, Major League Soccer, CONCACAF Champions League, FIFA 2013 Confederations Cup, FIFA Under-20 World Championships, and FIFA Under-17 World Championships.

i 100% agree with victor. i will not switch to dish for this channel and if no directv or cable hope this network fails miserably.

the only thing i can say is thanks to internet , for allowing me to enjoy mexican soccer with original audio, with real narrators and analyst unlike all the guys in spanish brodcasting, solo vayan a justin tvpunto com y viola!!!!!
I would watch this new sport channel if the bring people that know about futbol, like Cantor or Ramos. But I will not follow pretty faces that may be have only that, but knowdlege on the real futbol that is payed not just in Mexico but around the world? What about Argentina, Brasil, Uefa and so?
I can’t believe Univision is doing this s***t to It’s viewers. I have been watching Univision since I was small and to do something like this is very disappointing. The way the economy is and to have pay to watch that new channel is stupid. This new channel is going to fail!!!!!.

Its a real shame what Deportes Univision had become. They fired all the great anchors that work there before and hired all this college guys, with NO experience whatsoever and full of mistakes. That’s why they fired Sandy Brown the president for the sports department, for doing stupid things like losing the World Cup to rival network Telemundo and firing all the guys with experience. SHAME ON YOU DEPORTES UNIVISION. Bring back all those the great anchors you guys used to have before this JOKE.
