Telemundo’s “Un Nuevo Día” continues its efforts to gain ratings in the early morning sphere, dominated by Univision’s “Despierta América.”
The network is once again sprucing up the look of the morning show, which debuted a new set yesterday.
Hosts Adamari López, Rashel Díaz, Daniel Sarcos, Omar Germenos, Azucena Cierco and Alessandra Villegas are celebrating the show’s new home all this week, with a lineup of guest performers that includes Elvis Crespo, 3 Ball MTY, Angel y Chris and Gerardo Ortiz. Telemundo telenovela actors Mauricio Ochman, Marlene Fabela, Adriana Fonseca, Aylín Mujica, among others, will also visit the new “Un Nuevo Día” set.
“We have created a more intimate, welcoming environment that maintains a spacious and relaxed atmosphere,” said María López-Álvarez, Telemundo’s VP of alternative programming in a statement. “The new set is part of our continuing efforts to bring a fresh look to ‘Un Nuevo Día.’”
In July of this year, Telemundo rebranded its morning show, changing the name from “Levántate” to “Un Nuevo Día.” The network also hired actress Adamari López as co-host and gave the program a new on-air look.
