Univision’s TeleFutura network will be a thing of the past after this Sunday. Starting Monday, January 7, the network officially launches as the new UniMás.
In early December, Univision announced it would rebrand Telefutura as UniMás, with the new network airing programming from partners Caracol TV International, RTI Productions and Televisa.
That same evening UniMás will premiere its first two high-profile primetime series:
“Made in Cartagena,” starring Miguel de Miguel (“La Reina del Sur”), Carmen Villalobos (“Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso”), and Fernando Solórzano (“Muñecas de la Mafia”) premieres at 9 pm ET/PT.
“Quién Eres Tú,” starring Laura Carmine (“Amor Bravío”) and Julián Gil (“La Que No Podía Amar”), an original production by RTI Productions for UniMás, premieres at 10 pm ET/PT.

The second Univision network is a second class channel that only serves to generate more income for the company with second class programs that have not too much rating. This new re-branding will serve nor purpose at all and viewers that didn’t watch Telefutura won’t watch the re-brandind old neither.
