Deportes Telemundo unveiled a brand new state-of-the art studio last night during its show “Titulares y Más” at 11:35 pm. The new studio will feature a dynamic, contemporary look for flagship shows including “Titulares Telemundo” and “Titulares y Más” as well as live broadcasts of Mexican soccer, World Cup qualifiers and the upcoming Barclays Premier League.
The studio will feature new lighting and design technology and will feature devices that enhance the viewing experience such as a fully customizable 30–foot video wall that adapts to each and every show by becoming a virtual backdrop and centerpiece for “Futbol Estelar.”
Other highlighted features of the studio include Deportes Telemundo’s “En Detalle,” supported by an interactive touchscreen that allows the experts to analyze the tactics employed on the pitch and dissect different plays. “En Detalle” will also feature offside graphics as well as ball trajectory and speed tracking to cover every facet of “the beautiful game.”
In an effort to become “more green,” Deportes Telemundo is using the latest LED lighting technology throughout the set. The new lighting grid includes almost 300 fixtures that can be completely customized for each area of the studio, spending 75% less power used per kilowatt.
Deportes Telemundo, Telemundo Media’s sports division, is the “U.S. Home of the Olympics in Spanish,” qualifying matches of the Mexican National Team; all Liga MX matches played at home by Club León and “Boxeo Telemundo.” It also has the U.S. broadcast and online rights in Spanish language to the FIFA World Cup across all platforms (except radio) from 2015 through 2022.
The broadcast team is led by internationally acclaimed sportscaster Andrés Cantor and also includes Jessi Losada, Sammy Sadovnik, Leti Coo, Edgar López, Karim Mendiburu, Mirella Grisales, René Giraldo and Kaziro Aoyama.
