After 12 years as the Editor-in-Chief of Hispanic Market Weekly, Cynthia Corzo is leaving the industry trade publication to take on a job at Florida International University. Her last day is this Friday.
She starts as Assistant Director of Communications-College of Business at FIU on Monday, August 4.
“My new adventure at FIU is an exciting and challenging opportunity in academia at a fast-growing and high profile university,” says Cynthia. “Looking towards the future, this new adventure brings great opportunities for me as well as for my family and my daughter. I know that now was the right time for me to make this change.”
Prior to joining HMW, Cynthia spent 10 years working as a staff writer for El Nuevo Herald and another 4 years as a business writer for The Miami Herald.
Long-time contributor Diego Vásquez has been named Editorial Director of Hispanic Market Weekly, taking over for Cynthia upon her departure.
